I’d only been going to ZUMBA classes for a short time before I knew I HAD to have the music. This CD was the first one I’ve bought and I got two copies, one for me and one for my daughter. We LOVE it. (I do my housecleaning to it! <grin>)

The music is predominantly Latin based, but there are other influences, such as Middle Eastern and African. There’s a good variety of beats, but they all make you want to MOVE. Even if you have no familiarity with ZUMBA fitness, this is great exercise or dance music.

My ONLY disappointment is that there are no lyrics available. Most of the vocals are in Spanish and use enough idioms that it’s been difficult for me to figure out what’s being said. If knowing the meaning of the words is important to you, this would be a definite drawback. (I’m bringing this to the attention of ZUMBA Fitness, in hopes that they’ll correct it in the future.)

I have purchased mp3s downloads for my mp3 player. Great music you can use at home but feel like you are in a Zumba class. It contains the music fitness studios use for Zubma classes. I love it for walking, running and exercies.

If you like techno and if you like latin music (salsa, merengue, samba, reggaeton) you will like how the two come together in this Vibe Tribe CD. It’s toe tapping enjoyable. I walk a lot and this music just puts an extra bounce in my step. Just be aware that this CD has the power to irritate people. For example, I put this CD on at work during a night shift because a coworker said she needed to listen to something to wake up. But then another coworker remarked “What the hell is playing on the radio? It’s making me exhausted just listening to it!”. So this is for people who like energetic music.
